In short: your diary and photos stay on your iPhone. MySkin has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and we — the developer — never receive your diary. The only things that leave your device are listed below, and they don't include your health entries.
Who we are
MySkin: Psoriasis Diary (“MySkin”, “the app”) is made by Adis Shirinbek, a private developer registered as an individual entrepreneur in the Kyrgyz Republic (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, write to support@myskin.cc.
This policy covers version 1.0 of the iOS app and this website.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you enter is stored inside the app on your iPhone:
- daily check-ins (itch, sleep, pain, triggers, food, notes);
- body map ratings and your estimate of affected area;
- your treatment plan and reminder times;
- questionnaire answers;
- profile details you choose to add (for example, age, sex or the year your psoriasis started);
- photos of skin areas.
We do not have a server that receives this information, and we cannot see it.
Backups
- Diary data is included in your normal iPhone backup (to your computer or iCloud Backup), which you control in iOS settings. Apple handles these backups under its own privacy policy; we have no access to them.
- Photos are kept only inside MySkin. They are not added to your photo library and are not included in iPhone or iCloud backups. If you lose or replace your iPhone, or delete the app, your MySkin photos are gone.
No account, analytics, ads or tracking
MySkin has no sign-up or login. It contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs from third parties, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal data.
What does leave your device
Weather (optional)
If you turn on weather and allow location access, MySkin rounds your location to about 1 km and sends it to Apple's WeatherKit service to get local weather, and to Apple's location services to show a place name. We never receive or store your location. In the App Store privacy label this is listed as “Coarse Location — not linked to you — used for App Functionality”. You can switch weather off or remove location access at any time in iOS Settings.
App settings file
Every few hours, when you open the app, MySkin downloads a small static file of settings from this website (https://myskin.cc/config.json), for example to show an important notice or ask you to update. The request contains no diary data and no identifier. Like any web request, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) sees your IP address in order to deliver the file. We do not keep logs of these requests.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We don't receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on your device.
Sharing you start yourself
You can create a PDF report or export your diary as CSV files. These are created on your iPhone and leave it only if you choose to send or save them, using the iOS share sheet. Before you share, the app reminds you that the file contains health information. Whoever you send it to (for example, your doctor, or an email or cloud service) handles it under their own policies.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. Their text is neutral and doesn't name a condition or medicine. No push notification service is used.
Face ID and passcode
If you turn on the app lock, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or device passcode. The app only learns whether the check succeeded; it never receives your biometric data.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings › Your data › Delete all data in the app, or delete the app from your iPhone. Either removes the diary, photos, exports, reminders and settings from the device. Copies in older iPhone backups are kept until those backups are replaced or deleted, which you control in iOS.
Children
MySkin is not intended for children. The app is rated 16+ in the App Store, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU and UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because your diary is stored only on your device and we don't hold a copy, you can use these rights directly in the app: view and edit your entries, export them as CSV, or delete everything. If you have a question or a request, email support@myskin.cc and we'll reply within 30 days.

This website
This website has no cookies, analytics, trackers, embedded third-party content or external fonts. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse; we do not keep visitor logs.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes — for example, if a future version adds optional sync between devices — we'll announce them in the app and on this website before they take effect, and nothing will be uploaded without your clear choice.
