Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy is for residents of Washington State (My Health My Data Act) and Nevada (SB 370), and anyone who wants to know how MySkin treats health information. In short: we don't collect, sell or share your consumer health data.

Which health data the app handles

MySkin is a diary that keeps the following information on your iPhone:

  • symptoms you log, such as itch, pain and sleep;
  • triggers and food you choose to record;
  • body map ratings and your estimate of affected skin;
  • treatments, schedules and reminders;
  • questionnaire answers and profile details you add (such as the type of psoriasis or the year it started);
  • photos of skin areas.

How it's used

This information is processed only on your device, so the app can show your history, trends, reminders and the report you create. It is never sent to us. We do not collect it.

Sources

All of it comes from you, entered in the app.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with any third party or affiliate. We do not use it for advertising.

The only data that leaves your device without you sharing a file is your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km), if you turn on weather. It goes to Apple (WeatherKit and Apple's location services) only to show local weather, and is not linked to you or stored by us. You can turn weather off at any time.

If you choose to send a PDF report or CSV export — for example to your doctor — it is shared with the recipient you pick, under their own policies.

Your rights

You have the right to confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, to access it, to delete it, and to withdraw consent. Since we don't hold any of it, you can exercise these rights directly in the app: view everything in your diary, export it from Settings › Your data, or remove it with Delete all data. You may also contact us; we'll answer within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and if you're not satisfied you may contact the Washington State Attorney General or the Nevada Attorney General.
